It’s been several months since my last post, so I wanted to fill you in on why the long delay. One of my passions is to mentor and help others grow. It’s truly one of the driving forces in my life and it challenges me to stretch and grow.
Salesforce has built such an amazing community, they call Ohana. Ohana means extended family and as such we help and support each other. I have found the more I help others, the more I learn and the more grateful I am for the blessings that have come my way. When I’m able to look at the lives of others and see their growth, I am both humbled and honored to have played even a small part in their success.
Have you ever taken a Salesforce Certification Exam? What was the experience like? Click To TweetLast fall, I, along with Carla Hellen, hosted a Salesforce Admin Certification study group for our Des Moines Community Group. Over thirteen weeks, we covered every topic on the exam. Each participant was assigned a topic and asked to present or demo the key concepts to the group. It was quite the commitment for the members but was fun to learn together. Each of our sessions were recorded and are available on my YouTube channel.
Our final session was a mock exam. Throughout the thirteen weeks, I put together questions I thought might be helpful for the group. Then I had a thought, why not build a Salesforce Flow and make the questions publicly available from my website? So that is what I did.
On my Terry’s Tidbits site is now Practice Exam section and it’s FREE!! I only have exam questions for the Salesforce Certified Administrator exam ready but will be expanding this to include Advanced Admin and Platform App Builder.
When you submit your response to a question, I’ll let you know if you correctly answered it or not. If you missed it, I’ll show you at least one link to Salesforce help that you can use to study up on that topic. At the end, I’ll give you an over all score. As of today, the score is not weighted but I’m working on logic that will break down your score by exam topic.
You can take the exam as many times as you’d like. Each time, 60 questions will be randomly selected, and the answer choices will never be in the same order. For the Admin exam, I have more than 60 questions and continue to add to them, so your exam experience is never the same twice.
If you disagree with an answer or if you find the question confusing, you can add a comment that will take the question out of the queue until I have an opportunity to review it. In this way, you’re able to help improve the exam. Another future enhancement will be to allow anyone to submit new questions. I’ll review them for consideration. In this way, the exam becomes an extension of the Ohana spirit.
